Researchers’ Night is held again this September!

Finland’s biggest science event is back again this fall. Researchers open their doors for curious people on Friday 24.9.2021

For one whole day and night the audience gets to learn about the work of researchers via workshops, lectures and demonstrations. The event shows light on researchers, their work and the importance of science for our everyday life. The family-oriented programme will have something for everyone.

Researchers’ Night events are held all over Europe every year on the last Friday of September. In the past few years the events in Finland alone have gathered tens of thousands of visitors. Because of the coronavirus situation last year the event was held completely online and still had many school groups and other audience partaking.

This year in Finland Researchers’ Night will be celebrated in Jyväskylä and Turku. Researchers’ Night will be held as a hybrid event. We will combine virtual and live performances while following the Covid-19 guidelines. The programme and more information about the event will be released later in the summer and fall. Researchers’ Night is a part of the Year of Research-Based Knowledge 2021 -programme!
