In 2023, the University of Jyväskylä will celebrate its 160th anniversary, which is also a time to celebrate science! The biggest science event in Finland will open its doors again in autumn. Researchers will welcome curious citizens of all ages to enjoy science on Friday 29 September 2023.
The Researchers’ Night event will last from morning to late evening and will give the public the opportunity to discover the wonders of science, scientists and their work in science through a variety of programme. As a multidisciplinary event, Researchers’ Night offers a wide range of activities from workshops to laboratories, presentations and lectures. The programme is designed to have something for everyone from school groups to the general public alike. So age is no barrier to learning and we welcome people of all ages to take part in the event!
Researchers’ Night is celebrated every year on the last Friday in September across Europe. Last year, after two years of online implementation, the event finally took place live and attracted thousands of visitors. This year again, science will be enjoyed on the spot, experimenting, listening and wondering.
The 2023 Researchers’ Night will take place in Jyväskylä and also at least in Tampere and Oulu. The programme and more details will be published during the summer and autumn. Follow us on social media to be among the first to hear the most important news!
Welcome to experience science this autumn!
